Saturday 30th March to Wednesday 3rd April:  Lake District, Patterdale.  (English Lakes, North Eastern Area, Ref - 391162).  As we have previously advertised this to ensure enough interest before committing to booking and paying for the accommodation, all spaces have now been taken. Total price is £134. PLEASE NOTE:  Full payment for those who have paid their deposit is required by 1st FEBRUARY 2019. 

Tuesday 9th April:  Norwich evening walk/Adam and Eve pub.  Should just about be enough daylight for a short walk along the River Wensum and surrounding area before heading back for a catch up chat in the Adam and Eve pub to round off the evening. No need to book, just turn up on the evening at the car park, ready for a 7.00 pm start.

Saturday 27th April: Day Trip to Ladybower Reservoir. (Dark Peak map, Ref - 173893).  Superb walking around the Derwent and Howden reservoirs with the option for those wishing for a longer walk to include Howden Edge as part of a circular walk.

Tuesday 14th May:  Evening walk around Brundall. (Broads Map 40, Ref - 325086)   Mike London leads us on a five mile walk around Strumpshaw Fen and Blofied.  Park at the village hall (at the end of Links Avenue off The Street) ready for a 7.00 pm start. 

Sunday 19th May:  Day trip to Gradbach in Derbyshire.  (White Peak map Ref - 998663).  One of the best areas to walk in Derbyshire with Three Shires Head, Axe Edge Moor and Wildboarclough being among the many options.  The Roaches are also an excellent option.

Tuesday 4th June:  Evening walk around Cringleford. (Explorer map 237, Ref – 197042) David and Ronnie guides us on a 5 mile walk around the Intwood and Cringleford area.  Meet at Intwood church ready to leave at 7.15 pm. (From Cringleford travel along the Intwood road, cross over railway track until you reach grass triangular opposite Intwood church)

Saturday 22nd June:  Day trip to Burbridge  (Dark Peak map, Ref – (262830).  An excellent starting point for walking along Burbage Rocks to the south or Stannage Edge to the north

Tuesday 9th July: Evening Walk around Bergh Apton. (Norwich and the Broads map, Ref – 309013) Patrick leads a leisurely 4 mile walk around the Bergh Apton area, with a pint in the Dove pub afterwards. Meet at Bergh Apton village hall at 7.00 pm for a 7.15 pm start.

 Saturday 20th July:  Day trip to Ladybower. (Dark Peak map, Ref - 173893).  This replaces the trip planned for April 2019, which was cancelled due to bad weather. Lots of options, including Derwent Edge and other paths around Derwent and Howden reservoirs.

Sunday 28th July: Broads Boat Trip.  Every year we ponder whether to include this again, but it always seems to be popular, so have kept it in again this year. Starting from Wroxham this time, we will head up to Horning and onto the start of the River Ant at St Benet’s Abbey before heading back to Wroxham, with a late afternoon bbq for those who want to attend on Wroxham Broad. Cost per person for the whole day will be around £18.00, depending on how many attend and the BBQ afterwards will be the usual £6.00 per person. As we need to book up the boat(s) in advance, please let Patrick or Diane know by 20th July at the latest if you want to come along.

Tuesday 6th August: Evening Walk around Thorpe Marriott. Mike London takes us on a 4 and a half mile walk around the Thorpe Marriott area. Meet in the Square car park (NR8 6XE) next to the Otter pub (map ref 172148), ready to leave at 7.15 pm.

Sunday 18th August: Local walk from Weybourne to Sheringham. Ronnie has kindly offered to lead this walk. Meet at the Beach Lane car park in Weybourne, (NR25 7SR) at 10.30 am for a walk along Peddars Way and North Norfolk Coast Path towards Sheringham. At Sheringham we will walk up Station High, (High St) for lunch in the train station café, where hot drinks and food will be available if required. May also be lucky enough to see one of the steam trains. After lunch we return the same way we came. Approx. 7 miles.

Tuesday 3rd September: Evening walk around Mulbarton. (Explorer Map 237 - Ref: 196008).  Just enough daylight for a Patrick to take us on a short walk of around 3 miles, followed by drink in the World’s End afterwards.  Meet at the village hall car park ready for a 7.00 pm start.

Sunday 8th September: Canoeing trip.  It’s quite some time since we last had a canoe trip, so we have decided to squeeze this one in. We will start from Wayford Bridge and explore the tranquil North Walsham and Dilham canal. All are welcome, irrespective of experience, with life jackets being supplied. There are usually several spare spaces in members canoes for anyone not having a canoe of their own. The event is free but please let Patrick or Diane know if you are coming along for more details and to book a canoe space if required.

Sunday 22nd September: Day trip to Chelmorton/Cheedale. (White Peak Map - Ref: 110700).  A slightly different starting point but with a good range of walks on offer, including Cheedale, and Millers Dale.

Tuesday 8th October: Social evening at the Royal Oak in Poringland. A chance for a catch up over a drink. Just turn up anytime from 7.30 pm onwards.

Saturday 19th October: Day trip to the Wendover in the Chilterns.  (OS Explorer Map 181 - Ref: 852062).  Always a popular area with the Club with the parts of the South Bucks Way and Ridgeway on offer.

Saturday 2nd November: Annual Club BBQ. This event is always really well supported and is great opportunity to meet up with other club members to share an evening of good food and good company. Patrick and Diane will do the honours regarding all the food but please bring along your own drink, although some soft drinks will be available. The event will be held under cover, so no need to worry about soggy sausages if it rains. The cost per person for the food is £6.00, which includes a full sit down meal and dessert, with a choice of either traditional meat or salmon, with vegetarian options also available. Doors open at 6.30 pm, with the food being served at   7.30 pm. Please let Patrick or Diane know if you are coming along and your choice of food by Wednesday 30th October.

Sunday 17th November: Day trip to Eyam. (Dark Peak map - Ref: 215765).  Eyam, historically famous as the Plague village, provides good access to Froggatt and Curbar edges to the east, as well as Eyam Moor to the north.  Also a variety of leisurely walks to the South.

 Sunday 1st December:  Day trip to the Robin Hood. (White Peak map, Ref. - 281722).  Plenty of walks to choose from, including Birchen, Baslow and Curbar Edges, along with walks through the Chatsworth estate and surrounding area.

Tuesday 17th December: Christmas meal at the Racecourse Inn on Salhouse Road. A return visit to this popular venue following an excellent meal last time we visited. A good range of food will be on offer, including their tasty carvery, although their Christmas menu isn’t available until nearer the time. As we will definitely need to book a table, please reserve your place by 2nd November. We hope to eat around 7.30 pm.

Saturday 28th December: Local Christmas walk around Aldeburgh in Suffolk. (Woodbridge & Saxmundham Map, Ref – 463554).  A new destination for the Club, with a 10 mile walk taking in part of the coast to Thorpeness and then heading inland to Aldringham and back via the Sanderling Walk. Meet on the gravel seafront road at the far end of the town and near the sailing club at Slaughden Quay, which is just before the Martello tower, ready for a 10.00 am start. You should drive up a gravel slope and see the River Alde estuary on your right when you park.

Day trip notes – The minibus departs from Norwich at 6.30 am on the dot, so please ring if you are going to be a few minutes late, unless a different time is given in the Programme.  For day trips we leave from the Sainsbury’s car park (just off the A47 Southern by-pass in Costessey, (park well away from the store near the recycling area). The cost, unless otherwise stated, is £16.00 per person.  An adult member must accompany juniors and also ensure that they provide any necessary booster seat etc to comply with current legislation whilst travelling on Club transport.  Temporary members (limited to two trips only), are an additional £2.00 per trip. Please note that if you have confirmed your attendance following the reminder trip e-mail from the Club and you then cancel, you will need to pay the full day trip cost if your space cannot be filled.

Note for Club holidays - A reminder that, if after paying your deposit, full payment is not received by the date stated in the Programme, your place will be offered to other members.  If you cancel after you have made your final payment, a refund will only be made if your space can be filled.  Deposits are again only refundable if your space can be filled.  Members should also ensure that any cheques they send via post for deposits etc have been cashed by the Club.  Please note that we are unable to take Temporary members on Club holidays.
